Fundraising

 The Gauchers Association is funded solely by member's subscriptions and voluntary donations. The efforts and contributions of voluntary fundraisers and donors are fundamental for the Association to provide support and information to Gaucher patients, their families and medical professionals.

There are many ways you can support the Gauchers Association. Your support will help us continue our work and to encorage research.

Our fundrasing packs include; stickers, balloons, A4 and A3 posters, sponsorship forms, Gauchers Association leaflets. T-shirts are avaliable on request.

 Valentine's Ball raises £21,000 for Gauchers Association

Since my daughter Mia was diagnosed with type 3 Gaucher disease seven and a half years ago at the age of 13 months I have had a strong desire to do something, anything, to help raise funds and awareness of Gaucher, writes Jo Bardoe. here Jo describes how together with a group of friends she organised a Valentines Ball near to her home in West Harting; see full story

 2008 London Marathon raises £9,000 for Association - Click here to read our six runners describe their experience of the day

Triathlon - Nick Rowe who was inspired by his friend Pauline Diaper whose daughter Julie has Gaucher disease raised £735 by completinga triathlon. This sport involves a continuous race comprising of swimming, followed by a cycle, and then a run. Competitors race against the clock, which starts as they enter the swim and stops as they cross the finish line after the run.

Charity Ball brings in £1,455 - On 17th September an annual Charity Ball took place at The Cumberland Banqueting Suite, Westcliff On Sea. This year Pam Withrington and Brenda Levoi of Hairclubin, Westcliff, kindly agreed to dedicate the evening to the Southend Renal Unit and the Gauchers Association. The evening was a great success.
